Role Overview

We are looking for an accomplished Senior Technical Lead to oversee the technical design, delivery, and engineering excellence of the AI71 platform. This position blends architecture, engineering leadership, and hands-on execution.

You will guide high-performing engineering teams, define technical direction, and collaborate with Product, AI/ML, and Leadership teams to deliver resilient, enterprise-grade solutions. This role requires both profound technical expertise and leadership skills.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and maintain system architecture ensuring scalability, security, and high performance.
• Lead technical design reviews, aligning teams with the overall engineering vision.
• Implement and promote best practices in software design, coding standards, and reliability.
• Make strategic decisions regarding building versus buying technologies and assess emerging tools.
• Integrate AI tools effectively into the software delivery lifecycle.
• Mentor engineering staff across various experience levels and foster a positive code review and quality culture.
• Provide technical guidance to multiple squads and product teams.
• Participate in hiring, onboarding, and ongoing talent development.
• Convert business goals into actionable technical plans and ensure timely, quality project delivery.
• Collaborate with Product Management on roadmap planning and technical feasibility studies.
• Manage technical risks, dependencies, and act as the technological steward for client engagements.
• Monitor system performance, logging, and operational reliability.
• Work with DevSecOps to enhance CI/CD processes, infrastructure automation, and security practices.
• Improve engineering throughput through tooling enhancements and process optimization.
• Drive practical outcomes in release management prioritizing execution over theory.
• Coordinate with AI/ML engineers to integrate features seamlessly into products.
• Define interaction patterns between front-end and back-end architectural layers.
• Communicate architectural trade-offs and decisions to stakeholders clearly.

Qualifications and Experience

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field is required.
• 8 to 12+ years in software engineering with at least 3 to 5 years in technical leadership or architecture roles.
• Experience developing AI-enhanced or machine learning-enabled applications.
• Deep expertise in backend development using Python and cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or GCP.
• Strong knowledge of distributed systems, cloud-native designs, SQL and NoSQL databases, and APIs.
• Proven experience in enforcing high engineering quality via code reviews and standards.
• Preferred experience includes enterprise or government-level systems exposure.
• Familiarity with security, compliance, and privacy standards is advantageous.
• Background in dynamic, high-growth, or startup contexts is a plus.
