Role Overview
The Senior Scheduler is responsible for managing scheduling activities across all Hammond Home Care divisions within the Northern Sydney and Beaches team. This role requires efficient administration of client and staff schedules, ensuring high standards of service and support continuity.
The position requires working from the office at least three days per week, with the option to work remotely two days per week.
Key Responsibilities
- Create and distribute forecasted rosters designed to optimise workforce use, uphold contractual commitments, and guarantee care continuity.
- Act as the main liaison for clients needing adjustments to schedules or changes in care team composition, ensuring prompt and appropriate responses aligned with their preferences.
- Partner with Care Team Leaders to identify workforce shortages, assist with recruitment planning, and ensure staffing aligns with client needs and organisational growth goals.
- Track key performance indicators related to scheduling, such as Make-Up Contract Hours, use of specialised carers, and handling of complaints or incidents linked to scheduling and care.
- Participate in the continuous enhancement of scheduling protocols, systems, and workforce strategies to improve service quality and operational efficiency.
Candidate Profile
- Possesses 1-2 years of supervisory or leadership experience in a similar sector, preferably with scheduling exposure in aged care.
- Strong skills in communication, leadership, technical problem-solving, and change management.
- Committed to delivering high-quality aged care services and demonstrates passion and empathy.
- Exemplifies active listening abilities, goal orientation, openness to giving and receiving feedback, and motivation to advance HammondCare's mission.
- Adapts well in a dynamic, fast-paced environment, paying meticulous attention to operational details.
- Experienced in managing key stakeholder relationships effectively.
- Proficient in administration and IT including database management and Microsoft Office tools (especially Word, Excel, Outlook).
- Analytical thinker capable of identifying risks and proposing improvements.
