Senior SAP ABAP Consultant

About the Opportunity

This role is for a seasoned Senior SAP ABAP Consultant to work on SAP S/4HANA development initiatives in a contract capacity. The position is based in Bangalore or Hyderabad and follows a hybrid setup, with office attendance required for 2 days each week. Candidates should be available to join within a very short notice period of immediate to 15 days.

Role Overview

The consultant will contribute to modern SAP application development using current S/4HANA practices and clean extensibility approaches. The work calls for deep hands-on experience in ABAP, CDS Views, AMDP, RAP, SAP BTP, and clean core-aligned development.

Key Responsibilities

• Build, extend, and maintain ABAP solutions within SAP S/4HANA landscapes.
• Create and support CDS View, AMDP, and RAP-driven development objects.
• Deliver enhancements and custom extensions in line with Clean Core principles.
• Develop and integrate solutions on SAP BTP.
• Review code quality and prepare technical documentation.
• Work closely with functional teams and business users to translate requirements into solutions.
• Investigate production defects and improve application stability and performance.

Required Experience and Skills

• At least 8 years of practical experience in SAP ABAP development.
• Strong working knowledge of SAP S/4HANA ABAP.
• Proven exposure to CDS Views and AMDP.
• Experience building applications with RAP.
• Solid understanding of Clean Core concepts and extensibility approaches.
• Hands-on experience with SAP BTP.
• Strong command of OOABAP.
• Familiarity with OData services, BAdIs, user exits, enhancement framework, Adobe Forms, Smart Forms, BAPIs, RFCs, and IDocs.
• Ability to debug deeply and tune performance effectively.
• Experience working in Agile or Scrum delivery environments.

Additional Details

This is a contract engagement. The work location is Bangalore / Hyderabad, with a hybrid model requiring 2 days in the office. The expected notice period is immediate to 15 days.
