Senior Product Manager, Google Wallet

About the Role

At Google, the focus is on user-centric innovation, creating products that impact millions daily. The Google Wallet team is dedicated to developing a secure digital wallet that digitizes essential credentials such as payments, loyalty cards, identity, health info, transit passes, and physical access, delivering personalized, real-time experiences both online and offline. This role involves close collaboration across engineering, UX, marketing, and sales teams to launch and enhance these impactful products.

Key Responsibilities

• Collaborate with engineers, program managers, and designers to translate product requirement documents (PRDs) into clear objectives and key results (OKRs) for multiple teams.
• Define and maintain project roadmaps to guide the product development process.
• Drive alignment and secure consensus around product goals to craft a cohesive product vision that surpasses individual contributions.
• Conduct market validation by analyzing user base, strategic opportunities, and revenue potential.
• Lead efforts in defining, collecting, and tracking both qualitative and quantitative product and business metrics for current and new ventures.

Qualifications

• A bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience is required, with preference for a master's degree in technology or business-related fields.
• Minimum eight years in product management or related technical roles, including at least three years of experience bringing technical products from conception through to launch, especially consumer mobile apps.
• Proven history of collaborating cross-functionally with engineering, UX/UI, sales, finance, and other stakeholders for at least five years.
• Experience of five years in strategic business roles such as marketing, operations, or consulting.
• At least four years presenting technical content to senior leadership.
• Hands-on experience in software development or engineering for three years.
• Three years of people management experience, including technical leadership and managing direct reports.
