About the Role
Our client, a leading title company based in Maryland, is looking to hire an experienced senior processor to work remotely. This role requires a minimum of five years’ experience specifically handling processing in Maryland, with a strong understanding of the state's title requirements and handling of complex or high-risk files. Candidates should thrive in a fast-paced environment and have familiarity with emerging tools such as artificial intelligence.
Responsibilities and Skills
- Oversee residential title files from start to closing, without preparing commitments but with knowledge of title exceptions and their clearance.
- Identify and resolve issues that impact processing, underwriting, or the closing stages.
- Ensure timely readiness of all files with minimal need for post-closing corrections.
- Guarantee full adherence to contracts and ALTA Best Practices.
- Apply expert judgement when reviewing legal and financial documents.
- Maintain confidentiality and follow strict security standards.
- Accurately manage and verify funds needed for mortgages, taxes, judgments, and liens.
- Act as the primary contact for agents, lenders, buyers, and sellers.
- Communicate proactively to avoid delays and align expectations.
- Handle stressful situations calmly, maintaining professionalism.
- Provide guidance and support to fellow processors, sharing problem-solving expertise.
- Contribute ideas for improving best practices and processing workflows.
- Proficient use of Qualia software is required.
- Holding an active Notary or Maryland Title License is advantageous.
Benefits and Compensation
The position offers a salary ranging from $72,000 to above $80,000 annually, depending on experience.
