As a Microsoft 365 Specialist, you will act as a pivotal technical authority within our Microsoft 365 Centre of Excellence. Your responsibilities will include guiding both internal teams and clients toward effective use, adoption, and constant enhancement of Microsoft 365 services.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Serve as the escalation point for technical issues related to Microsoft 365 services.
  • Drive enablement and improve productivity outcomes for clients focusing on data management, collaboration tools, security, identity, and access management within the Microsoft 365 ecosystem.
  • Work with diverse Microsoft 365 components including Azure Active Directory identity management (AzureAD, AD Connect, ADFS, Microsoft Identity Manager).
  • Manage modern business collaboration platforms such as Teams, Planner, Groups, Exchange Online, SharePoint Online, and Yammer.
  • Support video conferencing and collaboration tools like Teams alongside complementary systems such as Poly, Cisco, and Zoom.
  • Understand competitor solutions related to these collaboration and communication platforms.
  • Handle email security and archiving technologies including Office 365 ATP/EOP, Mimecast, and Avepoint.

Candidate Qualifications and Experience

  • New Zealand Citizenship or Permanent Residency is mandatory for eligibility.
  • Proven background within an ICT Professional Services environment with substantial practical experience as a Microsoft 365 Engineer.
  • In-depth knowledge of Office 365 core collaboration services: Exchange Online (mailbox management and protection), Microsoft Teams, SharePoint Online, and OneDrive for Business.
  • Comprehensive expertise with Azure Active Directory identity management including management of users, traditional groups (security, distribution), Office 365 groups, devices, and guest/external users.
  • Working familiarity with advanced Azure AD identity and authentication technologies including Azure AD Connect, password hash synchronization, pass-through authentication, seamless Single Sign-On, ADFS, Azure Multi-Factor Authentication, and Self-Service Password Reset.
