Senior Financial Planning Analyst

About the Role

Azurity Pharmaceuticals is seeking a Senior Financial Planning Analyst to join their Finance team in Hyderabad. This position is pivotal in providing financial insights to US stakeholders involved in demand planning, revenue analysis, and product performance. The ideal candidate will be experienced in the pharmaceutical field and skilled in budgeting, forecasting, KPI tracking, and supporting commercial decision-making within a dynamic, regulated environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Facilitate budgeting and forecasting for Commercial departments, monitoring vital KPIs such as sales growth, volume, price realization, and gross margin while delivering actionable insights.
• Analyze revenue and gross margin variances, identifying and explaining the main factors influencing product, market, and channel performance.
• Contribute to building budgeting and forecasting models by incorporating demand assumptions, pricing data, and commercial inputs.
• Support the US FP&A team during Monthly Close by proposing accruals and preparing variance explanations in collaboration with commercial stakeholders.
• Deliver comprehensive variance analyses comparing actuals to budgets and forecasts, quantifying drivers and providing practical recommendations.
• Assist in demand planning to synchronize forecasts with input from commercial and supply chain units.
• Maintain and prepare Product Profit & Loss analyses, keeping track of revenue, gross margin, and profitability at the product level.
• Collaborate closely with Sales and Marketing teams to understand business drivers and generate meaningful financial insights.
• Oversee commercial operating expense (Opex) tracking and reporting to ensure consistency with budgets and plans.
• Engage in process enhancement and automation initiatives throughout commercial FP&A functions, utilizing AI tools, Excel automation, and data visualization platforms like Power BI.

Qualifications and Skills

• Chartered Accountant (CA) with 3 to 5 years of relevant experience, or CA Intermediate with over 6 years of experience.
• Previous experience in the pharmaceutical industry is advantageous.
• Familiarity with Oracle and Workday systems is preferred.
• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills, including automation techniques.
• Proficiency in Power BI or other data visualization software to generate reports and insights.
