Senior Associate - IT Asset Management (ITAM)

Overview

We are looking for a seasoned IT Asset Management Lead to oversee and refine the end-to-end management of IT assets within our organization. This role involves handling hardware, software licenses, cloud subscriptions, and other technology assets to ensure efficient lifecycle management, compliance adherence, cost savings, and thorough audit preparedness.

Key Accountabilities

• Manage full lifecycle of IT hardware assets including procurement, inventory tracking, assignment, audits, and disposal, ensuring detailed and updated records.
• Maintain the Fixed Asset Register and IT asset databases, ensuring complete and accurate asset details such as asset codes, serial numbers, user assignments, warranty, and purchase details.
• Execute secure and policy-compliant disposal of IT assets, coordinating with certified e-waste vendors and maintaining proper disposal documentation.
• Oversee software asset management including inventory management, license tracking, reconciliation, compliance monitoring, and optimization recommendations to reduce software costs.
• Manage SaaS and cloud subscription lifecycles, including renewal coordination, license utilization monitoring, and reporting.
• Liaise with procurement and finance teams for validating procurement-related documents and managing vendor relationships for both hardware and software assets.
• Support internal and external audits including ISO 27001, SOC2, maintaining audit-ready documentation and conducting periodic asset reconciliations.
• Drive governance of ITAM and SAM processes through established policies, SOPs, and integration with various organizational departments like IT service desk, HR, finance, and security.
• Generate and present comprehensive reports such as asset inventories, license usage, warranty expirations, audit compliance dashboards, and cost optimization analyses.

Technical Expertise

• Proficiency in ITAM tools like ManageEngine Asset Explorer and Endpoint Central.
• Experience with software licensing schemes for Microsoft, Adobe, Oracle, VMware, and expertise in SaaS subscription management.
• Advanced skills in reporting tools including Excel and Power BI.
