Role Overview

The Senior Accountant will handle core accounting activities, maintain financial records, and support accurate reporting across the business. The role calls for advanced working knowledge of Tally, QuickBooks, and Odoo ERP, along with a strong orientation toward process enhancement, team guidance, and clear communication. Candidates should bring at least 5 years of accounting experience, including solid exposure to ERP-based finance operations and financial analysis.

Key Responsibilities

You will be expected to oversee day-to-day accounting work, manage financial transactions, and ensure the reliability of all reporting outputs. The position also involves helping improve internal processes, supporting junior staff, and collaborating with different teams to keep financial operations aligned with business needs.

Financial Reporting and Analysis

Prepare and review monthly and annual financial statements, including balance sheets, profit and loss statements, and cash flow reports.
Support financial analysis to improve performance by interpreting variances, spotting trends, and contributing to budgeting and forecasting.
Complete month-end and year-end closing activities while making sure every transaction is recorded correctly.

ERP and Accounting Systems

Use Tally, QuickBooks, and Odoo to run accounting processes such as accounts payable, accounts receivable, and reporting.
Maintain and fine-tune ERP tools so that financial transactions and reporting remain accurate and efficient.
Handle system updates, resolve operational issues, and ensure the accounting platform continues to support daily finance work.

Training and Team Support

Use prior experience in the contact industry to train and guide junior accounting team members.
Help colleagues build the skills needed to manage accounting tasks confidently and effectively.
Share practical methods for handling finance operations and support continuous capability development within the team.

Compliance and Internal Controls

Ensure adherence to financial regulations, tax rules, local accounting practices, and internal company policies.
Carry out internal audits, identify financial risks, and introduce controls that help safeguard company assets.
Support external audit preparation by organizing accurate records and submitting documentation on time.

Communication and Leadership

Communicate effectively with clients, vendors, and internal stakeholders in both spoken and written form.
Work closely with senior leadership and operational teams to align accounting priorities with broader business objectives.
Mentor junior employees and contribute to a positive, cooperative work culture.
Look for ways to improve workflows and make finance operations more efficient.

Qualifications and Experience

A bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline is required. Professional credentials such as CPA or ACCA are preferred. Applicants should have a minimum of 5 years of accounting experience, including at least 2 years working with Tally, QuickBooks, and ERP platforms such as Odoo. Experience in the contact industry, particularly in financial operations and staff training, is also important.

Skills and Core Competencies

The ideal candidate should be comfortable with accounting software and ERP implementation, understand financial reporting standards, tax compliance, and internal controls, and demonstrate strong analytical ability, attention to detail, and problem-solving skills.
