Security Guard - Full-Time Position

Role Overview

Allied Universal is hiring professional security guards for a full-time role in Brantford, Ontario. The company is a major North American provider of security and facility services, with around 300,000 team members. Applicants should be prepared to work Monday to Friday across the following shifts: 7:00 AM to 3:00 PM, 3:00 PM to 11:00 PM, and 11:00 PM to 7:00 AM.

Key Duties

• Control entry and access to the facility or designated area.
• Maintain a neat, professional, and customer-focused presence at all times.
• Handle conflict situations, manage incidents, and help calm tense circumstances.
• Carry out scheduled patrols according to post instructions, including indoor and outdoor rounds where required.
• Follow safety and emergency procedures during fire alarms and other site emergencies.
• Complete site-specific training and follow directions from the Site Supervisor or Manager.
• Use sound judgment and common sense, especially when taking charge during emergencies or incidents.
• Keep detailed records, write clear reports, and maintain strong observation and communication standards.
• Monitor and operate security control room tools such as computers, CCTV cameras, radios, and related equipment.
• Conduct vehicle-based patrols when assigned.

Requirements

• Familiarity with access control systems and alarm systems.
• At least 1 year of patrolling experience.
• Experience writing reports and taking notes.
• Working knowledge of CCTV monitoring systems.
• Strong customer service and communication abilities.
• Valid Ontario security guard licence.
• Eligibility to work in Canada for up to 24 hours per week.
• Current First Aid and CPR Level C certification.
• Minimum age of 18 years.
• High school diploma, GED, or equivalent work experience.
