Scrum Master / Agile Delivery Lead

Position Overview

We are looking for an experienced Scrum Master / Agile Delivery Lead to manage multiple Agile teams remotely, primarily working within the Eastern Standard Time zone. This contract role offers $53 per hour on a W2 basis for 6 months, with potential transition to full-time employment. The candidate will be instrumental in guiding software development Agile squads and supporting broader enterprise initiatives, by managing Agile delivery, stakeholder communication, and driving continuous improvements using tools like Jira and Confluence.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and support 2-3 Agile Scrum teams simultaneously, ensuring effective delivery and adherence to Agile best practices.
• Utilize Jira metrics and reports to monitor team velocity and performance.
• Provide coaching to team members on Agile processes and practices.
• Deliver weekly status updates for projects and teams.
• Recommend and implement process enhancements to optimize delivery outcomes.
• Capture and analyze productivity metrics, escalate issues proactively, and report progress clearly.
• Establish clear communication plans defining roles and responsibilities within teams.
• Define and track key performance indicators regularly.
• Conduct data analysis pertinent to project tasks to ensure smooth execution.
• Maintain compliance with corporate regulations and standards.

Required Qualifications and Experience

• Bachelor's degree from a recognized institution.
• Five or more years of professional experience with a stable employment history, notably over 1.5 years in recent roles.
• Certified ScrumMaster (CSM) certification is mandatory.
• Demonstrated experience leading multiple Agile Scrum teams in Scrum, Kanban, and SAFe environments, especially in recent roles.
• Proven expertise in hands-on use of Jira and Confluence, including familiarity with various reporting functions and query techniques.
• Strong ability to manage competing priorities and multiple projects concurrently.
• Excellent communication capabilities, comfortable engaging with Product Managers, Engineers, and diverse stakeholders.

• Over-reliance on SAFe framework without substantial Scrum experience.

• Limited to mere facilitation of ceremonies without ensuring delivery outcomes.
• Frequent job changes within 12–18 months periods.
• Weak examples in conflict resolution and stakeholder engagement.

Additional Information

This contract role requires 2 rounds of interviews, including a short screening and a full panel assessment with drug and background checks before onboarding. The contract length is 6 months with the possibility of extension or permanent hire. The position is fully remote but candidates should be comfortable working within the EST timezone. The pay rate is fixed and non-negotiable at $53 per hour on a W2 basis.
