SAP SD Functional Consultant

Job overview

Magellanic Cloud is seeking an experienced SAP SD Functional Consultant with deep familiarity in SAP Sales and Distribution processes. This role calls for practical exposure to SAP SD configuration, full-cycle implementations, support activities, enhancements, and cross-module integration with SAP MM, FI, and WM/EWM.

What you will do

• Interpret business needs and convert them into workable SAP SD solutions.
• Set up SAP SD components such as sales document types, item categories, schedule line categories, copy control, partner determination, output determination, pricing procedures, credit management, shipping, transportation, billing, and invoicing.
• Support end-to-end Order-to-Cash operations.
• Manage sales order handling, deliveries, billing, returns, and credit/debit memo flows.
• Work with interfaces connected to third-party systems.
• Carry out functional, integration, and user acceptance testing.
• Draft functional specifications for SAP ABAP-related development work.
• Partner with technical teams on custom objects, reports, enhancements, user exits, BAdIs, and SmartForms.
• Troubleshoot production incidents and deliver L2/L3 support.
• Train end users and create supporting documentation.
• Contribute to implementation, rollout, migration, upgrade, and ongoing support initiatives.

What we are looking for

• Solid hands-on experience with SAP SD configuration.
• Clear understanding of Order-to-Cash business flow.
• Practical exposure to pricing, output determination, credit management, and shipping.
• Working knowledge of IDocs, EDI, interfaces, and batch jobs.
• Integration experience with SAP MM, FI, PP, WM/EWM, and TM.
• Ability to prepare functional specifications for custom development.
• Familiarity with SAP S/4HANA sales processes is preferred.
• Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving ability.
• Good communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Experience in SAP ECC and SAP S/4HANA environments.
• Exposure to Agile or Scrum ways of working is preferred.

Additional information

This position is based in Bengaluru, India. The role requires 3 to 9 years of experience.

Compensation

The offered salary range is INR 5,00,000 to INR 15,00,000 per year.

Eligibility

Candidates should have a B.Tech or B.E. degree in any specialization. A bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related discipline is also aligned with the role. SAP SD certification is an added advantage.
