About the Company and Position
A leading firm operating in a competitive regional marketplace is looking to hire a Sales Director to spearhead its commercial efforts during a critical growth period. The organization is dedicated to enhancing its market presence, deepening client relationships, and cultivating a high-achieving sales team to deliver enduring business success.
Role Overview
Reporting directly to senior executives, the Sales Director will be accountable for shaping and executing the sales strategy, guiding regional commercial groups, and driving profitable revenue growth across various customer categories. This role requires a blend of strategic vision and strong operational execution to meet sales targets, nurture long-standing client partnerships, and build effective sales teams.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and implement a comprehensive sales strategy aligned with organizational goals.
- Set yearly sales targets, budgets, and performance benchmarks.
- Lead, mentor, and develop sales personnel at regional and national levels.
- Drive efforts for acquiring new customers and expanding existing accounts.
- Enhance partnerships with key clients and distribution channels.
- Track sales outcomes and initiate corrective measures as needed.
- Collaborate across departments—Marketing, Finance, Operations, Supply Chain—to support commercial aims.
- Assess new market prospects and growth plans.
- Lead negotiations for major commercial contracts and agreements.
- Produce accurate sales forecasts and detailed executive reports.
- Stay informed on market trends, competitor actions, and customer behavior insights.
- Foster a results-oriented sales culture through mentoring, succession readiness, and talent development.
Candidate Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or a related field.
- Possession of an MBA or equivalent postgraduate qualification is favorable.
- A minimum of 12 years progressive experience in sales leadership roles.
- Demonstrated success managing high-performing commercial teams.
- Expertise in formulating and implementing regional or national sales strategies.
- Strong skills in commercial analysis, financial planning, and strategic development.
- Outstanding leadership qualities, negotiation aptitude, and stakeholder management.
- Experience within GCC markets is preferred.
- Fluency in English is mandatory; Arabic language proficiency is an advantage.
