Role Overview

eXtra (United Electronics Co.) is seeking a Public Relations and Communications Specialist to strengthen the brand’s public image and support its communications efforts in Jubail, Eastern, Saudi Arabia.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and roll out PR and communications strategies that help improve brand reputation and visibility.
• Prepare polished content for press releases, media outreach, articles, blog posts, and social media.
• Work with internal teams to identify company news, product launches, and other stories that can be shared with the public and media.
• Develop and sustain relationships with journalists, media houses, bloggers, and influencers.
• Proactively present story ideas and pursue media coverage across print, broadcast, and digital channels.
• Track media mentions and industry movements to spot risks early and prepare suitable responses.
• Assist with crisis communication by drafting accurate statements and coordinating with relevant teams.
• Organize PR events, press briefings, and media interview activities.
• Oversee the company’s social media presence through content creation, community engagement, and performance monitoring.
• Align communication across departments so that brand messaging stays consistent in every channel.
• Evaluate PR outcomes and share performance reports using relevant metrics and analytics.

Requirements

• A bachelor’s degree in Public Relations, Communications, Marketing, or a similar field.
• Prior experience in PR and communications, ideally within retail or consumer electronics.
• Strong writing and editing capabilities, with excellent grammar and style.
• Hands-on experience handling PR campaigns.
• Ability to stay effective under pressure and deliver within tight deadlines.
• Good interpersonal skills and the ability to work well with both internal teams and external contacts.
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite and other PR-related tools.
• Fluency in English, both written and spoken.
