Role Overview
As a Sales Associate, you will be responsible for managing a specific sales channel, whether it be direct, online, or retail. Your aims include crafting and executing channel sales strategies that support the broader organizational goals, uncovering new business possibilities, setting sales targets, and tracking performance metrics to ensure the channel meets or surpasses expected sales quotas. You will also manage relations with channel partners, negotiate contracts, and provide training and support to empower partners to effectively sell the company's products or services.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and execute relationship management strategies for complex prospective customer accounts, building connections with the relevant decision-makers and influencers to facilitate information exchange and resolve issues.
- Establish clear objectives for sales interactions; develop and deliver presentations tailored to the interests and concerns of customer decision-makers; analyze pertinent information, and gain alignment on customer requirements.
- Build a personal network within the business sector and represent the company at industry events to gather market insights and boost organizational visibility and reputation.
- Configure intricate product and service solutions along with contractual terms that align with customers' medium to long-term needs by collaborating with internal experts. Present these solutions and negotiate agreements within predefined commercial limits; review or authorize proposals that deviate from norms, escalating issues as required.
- Lead pricing and terms negotiations with strategic external partners and manage related projects.
- Monitor specific segments of business performance metrics, ensuring they align with financial goals and strategy.
- Oversee a portfolio of contracts, handling service-level agreement negotiations and coordinating activities related to major contracts.
- Support the implementation and upkeep of the CRM system, identifying opportunities for enhancements to improve customer relationship management.
- Administer compliance management controls for designated external partner segments.
- Create and deliver product education courses addressing identified needs to enhance performance and fulfill business requirements.
- Serve as a subject matter expert in areas such as technology, policy, regulation, or operational management, maintaining accreditations and staying informed of regulatory and industry best practices through ongoing education, conferences, and specialized media.
- Ensure that all actions comply with the company's diversity and inclusion standards.
