Role Overview
We seek a dedicated Safety Specialist passionate about travel, client collaboration, and creating safe workplaces. This remote position involves partnering with automotive dealers across the United States to ensure compliance with occupational health and safety standards, supporting both sales and client success for our Safety product.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage post-sale relationships for assigned accounts, acting as the main contact from onboarding through contract renewal.
- Lead virtual software onboarding including kickoff meetings, configuration support, user training, and go-live assistance to ensure rapid value realization.
- Conduct on-site inspections of chemicals and equipment to verify compliance with safety standards, including safe storage, labeling, and readiness.
- Perform facility safety walkthroughs to identify hazards, document findings, and recommend corrective actions aligned with customer needs and relevant regulations.
- Prepare clear inspection reports with notes, photos, issue logs, and action plans, then monitor remediation efforts to completion.
- Translate field data into product workflows to accurately reflect site conditions and safety requirements within customer accounts.
- Proactively manage account health by tracking product usage, engaging stakeholders, and promoting adoption to minimize churn.
- Collaborate with client stakeholders to set safety goals, establish timelines, and prioritize initiatives.
- Support sales efforts during renewals and expansions by documenting realized value and identifying growth opportunities.
- Advocate for customers internally by sharing trends, feature requests, and common challenges with the Product and Engineering teams.
- Resolve customer issues efficiently by triaging support tickets, coordinating resources, and maintaining timely communication.
- Maintain detailed account records including site profiles, inspection histories, training logs, contacts, and success plans.
- Develop and present customer reports such as inspection summaries, adoption metrics, and executive briefings that demonstrate return on investment.
- Ensure professional demeanor during onsite and virtual visits by scheduling appropriately, adhering to site safety protocols, and representing the company positively.
- Contribute to creating and refining standard operating procedures for inspections, onboarding, and ongoing client support processes.
- Stay informed of industry trends, emerging risks, and regulatory changes affecting automotive dealerships as directed by leadership.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in business or related field plus four years of experience in OSHA/EHS roles, or equivalent combination of education, experience, and training.
- Certifications such as ASP, GSP, CSP, or their equivalents are preferred.
- Possess a valid driver’s license along with a clean driving record.
- Willingness and ability to travel extensively, mainly by air, up to 60% of the time.
- Exceptional verbal and written communication skills.
- Familiarity with CRM software like Hubspot is preferred.
- Proficiency in Excel or Google Sheets for data analysis and reporting.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities to identify client issues and develop effective solutions.
- Excellent interpersonal skills to effectively interact with stakeholders at all organization levels.
- Ability to adhere to attendance expectations and meet tight deadlines consistently.
Additional Information
Applicants must be authorized to work in the United States and provide proof within three days from the start date. Visa sponsorship is not provided. A background check is mandatory. This role is entirely remote, but candidates must reside in Florida or relocate there at their own cost. Travel involves visiting automotive dealer sites nationwide.
Compensation and Benefits
- Annual salary range between $75,000 and $80,000, depending on experience.
