Job description

About the Role

Join our restoration division in Kelowna as a Project Manager, overseeing projects from emergency response to the final stages of reconstruction. You'll work closely with homeowners, commercial clients, insurance professionals, and subcontractors to ensure all jobs are delivered with high quality and professionalism.

Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee all phases of restoration and reconstruction projects from initiation through completion.
  • Participate in on-call rotations to respond promptly to emergency loss situations.
  • Conduct damage assessments and develop comprehensive estimates using industry-standard platforms.
  • Organize resources including emergency teams, contractors, equipment, and materials.
  • Create project plans, monitor progress, and manage budgets and profitability.
  • Maintain open communication with clients, insurance representatives, and key stakeholders.
  • Strengthen relationships with all project partners, contributing to positive outcomes and repeat business.
  • Conduct on-site project inspections, ensuring compliance with building codes, safety guidelines, and company quality standards.
  • Enforce strict adherence to WorkSafeBC standards, regulations, and company policies for workplace safety.
  • Ensure up-to-date project documentation and share regular progress reports with management.
  • Engage in continuous professional development and relevant industry training.

Skills & Requirements

  • Background in insurance restoration preferred.
  • Strong leadership capabilities with advanced organizational and multitasking skills.
  • Excellent communication proficiency and customer-oriented approach.
  • Experience managing multiple ongoing projects concurrently.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Familiarity with estimating tools like Docusketch, PSA, or Xactimate is a plus.
  • Valid British Columbia driver’s license with a good driving record.
  • Ability to pass a Criminal Record Check.
  • IICRC certification in areas such as Water Damage Restoration, Fire & Smoke Restoration, or Odour Control considered an asset.

Physical Demands

  • Regularly travel to project sites is required.
  • Ability to lift up to 40 lbs unaided; heavier lifting with assistance.
  • Work in confined spaces and occasionally perform duties at heights.
  • Use of personal protective equipment, including respirators, is mandatory at times.
  • Ability to bend, kneel, stand, walk, and climb for extended periods.
