About the Role

Join the Department of Conservation (DOC) as a Research Technician in a vital conservation position focused on the Critically Endangered Pukunui (Southern New Zealand Dotterel) on Rakiura Stewart Island. This largely field-based role will involve intensive work during the breeding season to support active species preservation efforts.

When off duty, employees may stay at any location of their choosing but are responsible for their own travel expenses to and from these sites. Ferry transport between Invercargill and the island during rostered days is provided by DOC.

Compensation and Eligibility
