Role Overview
Oceania is seeking dedicated Registered Nurses in Christchurch who desire to utilize their full professional capabilities while positively impacting residents' lives. This opportunity includes multiple current and future roles across various care villages in the region, offering flexibility in employment type including part-time, full-time, or casual hours.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee and coordinate the daily clinical care requirements for residents.
- Conduct thorough nursing assessments and develop individualized care plans.
- Make informed clinical decisions and adapt effectively to shifting resident conditions.
- Foster strong relationships with residents, their families or whānau, and allied health professionals.
- Provide leadership, mentoring, and support to Healthcare Assistants and the broader care team.
- Maintain precise clinical records and engage in continuous quality improvement initiatives.
- Ensure a secure, respectful, and nurturing environment promoting resident wellbeing.
Candidate Requirements
- Possession of a current New Zealand Annual Practising Certificate (APC).
- Registration with the Nursing Council of New Zealand is mandatory.
- Prior nursing experience, ideally in aged care or related clinical settings.
- Proficiency in electronic clinical documentation systems.
- Strong clinical assessment and critical thinking skills.
- Excellent communication and leadership qualities.
- Team-oriented with sincere dedication to elderly care.
- Willingness to work various shifts, including nights and weekends as needed.
Experience with InterRAI is advantageous but not required.
