Regional Finance Manager - Manufacturing Multinational

Role Overview

Our client, a prominent multinational manufacturing company, is seeking a Regional Finance Manager to be based at their Regional Headquarters in Singapore. This pivotal role involves overseeing the accuracy, timeliness, and regulatory compliance of accounting functions across Southeast Asia and Australia. The incumbent will help preserve financial integrity, elevate governance standards, and assist the organization’s growth strategy within the region.

Key Responsibilities

The role encompasses complete management of accounting processes including general ledger oversight, month-end and year-end closing activities, financial reporting, account reconciliations, and corporate reporting. Close collaboration with regional and local finance units will ensure adherence to internal controls, statutory requirements, and corporate governance while promoting operational efficiency and quality service delivery.

As the Regional Key User and Process Owner for General Ledger, Accounts Payable, and Accounts Receivable, the manager will lead standardization efforts, enhance internal controls, support training for end-users, and drive continuous improvement initiatives. This includes partnering with business leaders to identify opportunities for automation, harmonization, and better alignment with corporate finance policies and best practices.

The position also involves supporting regional tax and treasury functions by coordinating with local finance teams, corporate tax and treasury departments, and external consultants. Responsibilities include ensuring compliance with tax laws and transfer pricing, managing treasury policies, cash flow forecasting, liquidity management, and foreign exchange risk mitigation. The role contributes to improving tax efficiency, optimizing working capital, and enhancing overall financial health.

Candidate Profile

The ideal applicant will hold a recognized degree in Accounting or Finance and a professional accounting certification such as CPA, CA, or ACCA. A minimum of 8 years of experience in multinational regional finance operations, shared services, controllership, or finance excellence roles is required. Strong technical expertise in accounting, demonstrated skills in process enhancement, stakeholder engagement, and managing cross-country initiatives are critical for succeeding in this capacity.
