Refuse & Recycling Loader

Position Overview

Join Serco as a Refuse & Recycling Loader serving the Charnwood community in LE12 7AH. This permanent, full-time role requires dedication to providing an efficient waste and recycling collection service that keeps residential and commercial areas tidy, clean, and safe.

Working Hours and Compensation

• Work 38 hours weekly from Tuesday to Friday, 6am to 4pm.
• Occasional weekend shifts with time and a half pay on Saturdays and double time on Sundays.
• Earn day off in lieu for working on bank holidays.
• Salary is £26,462 per year (£13.36 per hour) plus an excellent benefits package.

Core Responsibilities

• Travel on pre-established routes with the driver to collect waste and recyclable materials from homes and businesses.
• Represent Serco’s Environmental Services team positively to the public during service delivery.
• Maintain pride in the cleanliness and safety of community areas, contributing to a pleasant environment for residents and businesses.
