About the Role
The Ghana Railway Development Authority seeks to employ four Reach Stacker Operators to oversee container handling activities within rail freight terminals and yards based in Tema, Ghana. Candidates will play a crucial role in the safe and efficient management of container loading and unloading operations.
Primary Responsibilities
- Handle loading, unloading, and stacking of containers from trains and trucks within assigned yard zones.
- Perform daily inspections of reach stacker equipment, promptly report any faults, and maintain accurate records of container handling activities.
- Ensure all lifting and handling procedures promote workplace safety and comply with established guidelines.
Qualifications and Experience
- Must possess a valid reach stacker operator certification.
- Have 3 to 5 years of practical experience operating heavy machinery in port, Inland Container Depot (ICD), or rail yard environments.
- Demonstrate excellent coordination skills and a strong understanding of heavy lifting techniques and safety protocols.
