Job description

Role Overview

We are seeking a skilled Quantity Surveyor to join our team in Singapore. The successful candidate will be responsible for preparing and validating cost estimates, managing budgets, and handling financial controls related to construction projects. This role involves preparing payment claims and final accounts alongside detailed documentation, conducting site measurements, and reviewing tender submissions and contract documents to ensure compliance.

Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare accurate cost estimates, including subcontractor and vendor submissions.
  • Oversee financial projections, budgeting processes, and monitor expenditure control.
  • Develop monthly payment claims and finalize accounts with comprehensive supporting documentation.
  • Perform site measurements and assess work completion for payment claims and certifications.
  • Review tender specifications and evaluate submissions, assisting with contract documentation.
  • Verify star rates and ensure they reflect fair market pricing.
  • Maintain detailed cost data analysis for future procurement references.

Candidate Profile

  • Possesses a degree in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management or a closely related discipline.
  • Holds a minimum of three years' experience in cost estimation and contract administration.
  • Preferably registered with the Singapore Institute of Surveyors and Valuers.
  • Knowledgeable in tendering processes, cost control methods, and contract documentation standards.
  • Experienced in drafting payment claims and final accounts.
  • Capable of conducting precise site measurements and progress evaluations.
  • Strong analytical abilities, numerical proficiency, and problem-solving skills.
  • Detail-focused with excellent communication skills.
