Role Overview & Key Responsibilities

We are seeking a proactive Purchase Manager to handle procurement and import operations in our manufacturing and precision engineering sectors. The role involves overseeing the entire Purchase-to-Pay cycle, coordinating inventory, and managing supplier relations for technical goods.

• Manage complete procurement processes including requisition handling, purchase order issuance, and inventory synchronization.
• Identify, assess, and onboard both domestic and international suppliers for machine tool accessories, cutting tools, and spare parts.
• Work closely with logistics and customs teams to ensure smooth transit and clearance of imported products.
• Conduct negotiations on pricing, delivery schedules, and payment terms to optimize costs.
• Maintain thorough purchase records and inventory data using ERP systems and databases.
• Coordinate with quality assurance and warehouse teams to resolve any quality or delivery issues promptly.

Essential Qualifications and Experience

• Demonstrated experience in local and global sourcing, preferably involving CNC accessories, graphite electrodes, or industrial tools.
• Firm knowledge of customs clearance, import documentation, and freight logistics management.
• Strong vendor management skills with effective commercial communication capabilities.
• Practical experience with ERP procurement modules and advanced MS Excel usage.

Additional Details

This position is located in Marine Lines, Mumbai. Candidates with a graduate degree in any discipline are eligible. The manufacturing sectors of import-export, machine tools, industrial consumables, or heavy engineering experience are preferred.

Salary Range: ₹30,000 to ₹50,000 per month

Experience Required: Between 4 and 6 years
