About the Role and Organisation
North East London NHS Foundation Trust seeks a compassionate Psychological Wellbeing Practitioner to join the Redbridge Talking Therapies team at Goodmayes Hospital. This permanent, part-time position involves providing specialized psychological assessments and interventions for adults aged 18 and above experiencing mild to moderate psychological distress, including those with complex cases. The role supports the Trust's mission to foster recovery and wellbeing through high-quality care in a respectful and inclusive environment. Working hours align to a Monday through Friday schedule.
Primary Responsibilities
- Receive referrals and design individualized care plans per service guidelines.
- Conduct patient-focused assessments to identify changes needed and evaluate risk factors pertaining to self and others.
- Deliver accessible, evidence-based low-intensity psychological interventions such as guided self-help and computerized Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT).
- Engage family and support networks in treatment processes when appropriate.
- Collaborate within multidisciplinary teams to ensure coordinated stepped care.
- Maintain meticulous clinical records, ensuring data accuracy to support treatment decisions and service evaluation.
- Participate regularly in clinical supervision, integrate feedback, and contribute to service development and research efforts.
Essential Skills and Qualifications
- Experience performing comprehensive patient assessments and risk analyses.
- Proven ability to administer guided self-help and CBT effectively.

Additional Duties
- Manage referrals, caseloads, and associated administrative tasks diligently.
- Engage in team meetings and communication initiatives to disseminate clinical knowledge.
- Support community outreach to improve mental health awareness and reduce stigma.
- Deliver teaching sessions and clinical supervision to junior staff and trainees.
- Adhere to the Trust's data confidentiality policies and contribute to audit and quality improvement processes.
Onboarding and Terms
- New hires start on the first Monday monthly, begin with up to two weeks' comprehensive induction including training and executive interaction.
- Position is subject to a probationary period, except for certain internal candidates.
- Includes a High Cost Area Supplement for Outer London boroughs at 15% of base salary, pro-rated for part-time roles.
