About the Role
An established and highly regarded West Midlands law firm, recognised in multiple Legal 500 categories, is seeking a Property Litigation Solicitor to join their Birmingham office. The role offers an excellent opportunity to work within a well-regarded Dispute Resolution team handling a wide variety of residential and commercial property disputes. Key Responsibilities
- Manage a diverse caseload involving residential and commercial property disputes.
- Provide advice to landlords and tenants on contentious landlord and tenant issues.
- Handle boundary disputes and general property litigation cases.
- Manage Trusts of Land and Appointment of Trustees Act (TOLATA) claims from instruction through to resolution.
- Advise on professional negligence claims related to property matters.
- Assist with wider commercial litigation tasks when needed.
- Draft pleadings, witness statements, correspondence, and other legal documents.
- Conduct advocacy as appropriate.
- Deliver exceptional client service and manage expectations throughout cases.
- Contribute to business development initiatives and help expand the firm’s property litigation services.
- Collaborate effectively within the Dispute Resolution team to achieve positive client outcomes.
Candidate Profile
- Qualified Solicitor with property litigation experience.
- Preferably 2 to 5 years post-qualification experience, although those with relevant experience outside this range are encouraged to apply.
- Experience handling contentious landlord and tenant disputes for residential and commercial clients.
- Familiarity with boundary disputes, TOLATA claims, and other general property litigation matters.
- Strong client service orientation and excellent communication skills.
- Advocacy experience or willingness to develop advocacy abilities.
- Commercially minded with solid organisational and case management skills.
- Capable of working effectively under pressure and meeting deadlines.
- Proactive team player with enthusiasm for developing property litigation services.
