About The Role
SEOWILL is CWILL's specialized SEO software designed for Shopify-based brands and direct-to-consumer (DTC) merchants aimed at enhancing website content quality, keyword breadth, indexing efficiency, and organic visitor traffic. Currently under active development, the product roadmap includes features like site diagnostics, keyword research, page enhancements, AI-driven content creation, generative engine optimization (GEO), and SEO performance reporting.
We seek an experienced Product Manager knowledgeable in SEO and SaaS to take full ownership of SEOWILL’s product roadmap and execution. This position demands a hands-on professional with strong SEO expertise right from the start who can independently guide impactful product developments.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the entire product lifecycle for SEOWILL, including prioritizing features, drafting detailed specifications, and managing deliverables spanning site diagnostics, keyword proposals, page optimization, AI content generation, and SEO reporting tools.
- Steer features through all stages—discovery, design, engineering, launch, and subsequent evaluation.
- Establish clear performance benchmarks for core product metrics such as SEO diagnostic scores, optimization advice, and AI content quality.
- Leverage thorough SEO knowledge to influence product choices, focusing on keyword tactics, meta optimization, website architecture, crawlability, indexing, Core Web Vital metrics, and AI-generated content standards.
- Remain updated on evolving search engine algorithms, GEO trends, AI-driven search interactions, and the competitive SEO software arena.
- Convert complex SEO technicalities into intuitive experiences tailored to merchants.
- Perform user interviews and analyze feedback from Shopify merchants and DTC brand proprietors.
- Monitor competitor products including SEO tools, AI content platforms, and Shopify SEO applications to generate structured comparative insights.
- Transform user challenges and market intelligence into prioritized product development initiatives.
- Design go-to-market strategies including product packaging, tiered pricing, conversion funnel optimization, and onboarding processes.
- Collaborate with Sales and Customer Success teams to enhance free trial conversions and long-term merchant retention.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum 3 years of product management experience, including 1–2 years concentrating on SEO tools, SEO SaaS, or marketing technology products.
- Solid foundational SEO expertise covering keyword analysis, on-page SEO, meta tagging, site structure, crawling efficiency, indexing, and organic growth techniques.
- Practical experience with SEO and analytics platforms such as Google Search Console, Google Analytics, Ahrefs, Semrush, Similarweb, or equivalents.
- Proven track record managing B2B SaaS products through all lifecycle stages from discovery to release.
- Competency in data handling including basic SQL, advanced Excel/dashboard utilization, and A/B testing methodologies.
- Fluency in Mandarin Chinese, either as a first or near-native second language is essential.
Preferred Experience
- Familiarity with the Shopify ecosystem including its app marketplace and DTC merchant landscape.
- Background working with AI-generated content, generative engine optimization (GEO), or AI-enhanced SEO tools.
- Experience constructing optimized onboarding flows and conversion improvement strategies for merchant users.
- Knowledge of technical SEO such as implementing structured data schemas, handling Google Search APIs, and managing sitemaps.
- Direct involvement in SEO campaigns, website maintenance, or e-commerce operations.
Compensation and Benefits
Salary range spans $70,000 to $130,000 annually, dependent on prior experience, with room for negotiation.
