Overview
The Project Management Engineer plays a vital role in overseeing the planning, coordinating, and execution of semiconductor manufacturing projects at VisionPower Semiconductor Manufacturing Company (VSMC). Collaborating with various teams, this role ensures that projects align with timelines and business goals, covering areas such as technology transfer, capacity enhancement, equipment setups, digitalization, and ongoing process improvements within a high-volume production setting.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist in defining project scope, goals, and deliverables in consultation with stakeholders and management.
- Create and update detailed project plans, schedules, and documentation to facilitate efficient execution.
- Monitor project milestones, deliverables, and pending tasks, providing regular progress and status reports.
- Identify risks, issues, and changes in project scope; support the formulation and application of mitigation strategies.
- Coordinate with cross-functional teams to ensure timely achievement of project goals.
- Prepare materials for project meetings, maintain compliance with Project Management Office (PMO) standards, and organize documentation.
- Engage in project evaluations, record lessons learned, and propose recommendations to improve future projects.
- Contribute to projects focused on technology transfers, equipment installations, capacity growth, digital tools enhancement, and process improvements in wafer fabrication.
Qualifications and Skills
- A bachelor's degree in Engineering, Information Systems, Business Analytics, Industrial or Manufacturing Engineering, or related fields.
- Between two to five years of experience in project coordination or management, ideally within semiconductor or manufacturing sectors.
- Familiarity with collaborative work in multifaceted teams across engineering, operations, manufacturing, or support.
- Knowledge of project management methods and principles with the capability to strategically coordinate and track progress.
- Basic insight into semiconductor production methods and high-throughput manufacturing operations preferred.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite including Excel, PowerPoint, and project management software like MS Project or equivalents.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and reporting skills with keen attention to details.
- Excellent planning, organizational, communication, and stakeholder engagement abilities, capable of balancing multiple priorities efficiently.
- Proactive, self-driven, flexible, and dedicated to continual personal and professional growth.
