Overview
Ci Design, Inc. is looking for an experienced, driven project designer to support commercial architectural work from its Raleigh office. The position is suited to someone who can contribute both creatively and technically across multiple assignments.
Experience
Candidates should bring 3 to 7 years of professional experience.
What You Will Do
- Create and develop technical design solutions for commercial projects.
- Evaluate project needs and translate them into practical design responses.
- Work closely with project teams, clients, and outside consultants to keep design goals aligned.
- Support the preparation of project specifications.
- Handle tasks that call for inventive methods and sound technical judgment.
- Help manage schedules so projects move forward efficiently and maintain quality standards.
- Monitor current industry developments and apply relevant ideas to design work.
- Ensure drawings and solutions meet project specifications and design expectations.
- Balance multiple assignments while meeting deadlines and budget targets.
- Produce construction documents for a range of project types.
- Contribute to presentations and communicate design ideas effectively to clients and consultants.
What We’re Looking For
- Solid background in architectural design, material and systems detailing, and building envelope design.
- Strong written and verbal communication, along with good interpersonal ability.
- Careful attention to detail and a creative approach to solving problems.
- Ability to work independently, stay organized, and perform well under pressure.
- Comfort with managing several projects at once and meeting demanding timelines.
- Proficiency in Revit, AutoCAD, and SketchUp is preferred; familiarity with Adobe Photoshop and Illustrator is also preferred.
