Program Manager

About the Role

We are in search of a seasoned Program Manager proficient in overseeing program delivery, coordinating stakeholder engagement, maintaining robust governance, managing risks, tracking finances, and implementing Agile/SAFe methodologies. The successful candidate will handle large-scale programs, synchronize multiple teams, champion delivery excellence, monitor dependencies, and assure successful fulfillment of business targets. This senior role involves hands-on leadership of complex technology programs, facilitating cross-functional collaboration, steering governance meetings, mitigating risks, and securing dependable delivery results.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead comprehensive program planning, execution, governance, and monitoring across various projects or workstreams.
• Align stakeholders from business, technology, delivery, and leadership around program objectives, priorities, milestones, and success benchmarks.
• Facilitate program governance by conducting status reviews, steering committee sessions, executive briefings, RAID (Risks, Assumptions, Issues, Dependencies) tracking, and follow-up on action items.
• Proactively identify and manage risks, issues, assumptions, dependencies, escalations, and develop mitigation strategies.
• Monitor progress related to delivery timelines, scope, budget, quality, resource utilization, and program KPIs.
• Collaborate with project managers, scrum masters, product owners, architects, engineers, and client representatives to enable seamless execution.
• Ensure compliance with delivery protocols, quality benchmarks, change control, governance regulations, and process standards.
• Compile and communicate program dashboards, executive summaries, progress reports, dependency logs, and financial updates.
• Direct cross-functional teams, resolve obstacles, enhance delivery predictability, and foster continuous improvement.
• Maintain high levels of customer satisfaction through clear communication, swift escalation management, and delivering measurable business outcomes.

Qualifications and Expertise

• A minimum of 12 years’ experience in IT delivery, project or program management, or technology leadership roles.
• Demonstrated success managing multi-team, multi-vendor, complex technology programs.
• In-depth knowledge of Agile, Scrum, SAFe, Waterfall, hybrid methodologies, SDLC processes, and release management.
• Practical experience with governance frameworks, stakeholder engagement, executive communication, and escalation resolution.
• Proficient in risk, dependency, change, and scope management along with delivery metrics analysis.
• Familiarity with tools like Jira, Azure DevOps, MS Project, Confluence, Power BI, and Excel for reporting and tracking.
• Competence in managing program financials, resource planning, utilization tracking, forecasting, and delivery commitments.
• Exceptional leadership, communication, negotiation, analytical, problem-solving, and client-facing capabilities.
• Educational qualifications include B.E., B.Tech., M.B.A., M.C.A. or similar; relevant certifications such as PMP, SAFe, or Scrum Master are advantageous.
