Role Overview

This full-time Professional Driver position is based onsite in Mandeville. The primary responsibility is to operate company trucks safely and efficiently, transporting goods, materials, or equipment as per predefined routes and schedules. Duties include conducting thorough pre- and post-trip vehicle inspections, ensuring cleanliness and basic vehicle maintenance, complying with traffic laws and company policies, and representing the organization professionally.

Responsibilities

• Safely drive company trucks along assigned routes to deliver materials and goods on schedule.
• Perform detailed vehicle inspections before and after trips to ensure roadworthiness.
• Maintain vehicle cleanliness and conduct basic upkeep tasks.
• Adhere strictly to all traffic laws, safety regulations, and company procedures.
• Interact professionally with clients and team members, delivering excellent customer service.
• Complete necessary delivery documentation accurately.
• Report incidents, delays, or mechanical problems promptly to the relevant personnel.
• Collaborate with operations staff to ensure service reliability and customer satisfaction.

Qualifications and Requirements

• Proven experience in driving commercial trucks with strong safety and operational skills.
• Valid CDL Class A license or equivalent commercial driving certification and a clean driving record.
• Effective communication abilities to coordinate with dispatchers, peers, and customers.
• Excellent customer service skills to professionally represent SSCL and handle client interactions.
• Knowledge of basic vehicle maintenance and aptitude to conduct routine inspections.
• Ability to accurately follow routes, schedules, and delivery instructions.
• Demonstrated reliability, strong time management, and strict adherence to safety and regulatory requirements.
• High school diploma or its equivalent; prior professional or commercial driving experience is beneficial.
• Willingness to work onsite in Mandeville and adapt to diverse traffic and weather conditions.
