About the Role

Nestlé Ghana Limited is searching for a Production Supervisor or Shift Lead to oversee a production line during shifts, ensuring timely achievement of production targets while adhering strictly to safety, quality, hygiene, cost, and environmental standards within a continuous 24/7 operation.
Key Responsibilities
- Ensure efficient maintenance and timely repairs of production equipment within the assigned area.
- Lead and coordinate a team of technical supervisors and line technicians.
- Respond swiftly to any production breakdowns to minimize downtime.
- Provide training to enhance the skills, competence, and productivity of team members.
- Enforce factory policies and compliance among staff.
- Ensure all workers comply with hygiene and safety standards.
- Manage inventory levels of spare parts and initiate orders as needed.
- Oversee the analytical abilities of technicians for required analyses.
- Plan and monitor technician training and professional development requirements.
- Proactively promote workplace safety initiatives.
- Support the implementation of Nestlé Quality Management Systems (NQMS) and Nestlé Continuous Excellence (NCE) programs.
Qualifications & Experience
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering is required.
- At least three years of experience in a leadership maintenance role or similar capacity.
Competencies for Success
- Expertise in preventive and predictive maintenance techniques.
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
- In-depth knowledge of equipment and systems used in production.
- Commitment to safety and regulatory compliance.
- Familiarity with project management principles.
- Experience managing vendor relationships and spare parts inventory.
Location & Other Details
This position is based in Tema, Ghana. The role requires onsite presence in an environment operating seven days a week, 24 hours a day.
