Key Responsibilities

• Maintain the produce department in a clean, organized, and clearly sectioned manner, ensuring it is always prepared for customer visits.
• Perform regular inventory rotation and promptly remove any expired goods to guarantee freshness and quality.
• Verify that product signage and pricing are accurate, following established protocols for ordering, clearances, pricing adjustments, labels, and signage placement.
• Adhere to food safety, sanitation, and cold chain policies, including conducting temperature checks, proper thermometer use, safe food handling, and compliance with sell-by and expiration dates.
• Manage stock replenishment and removal, apply product protection as needed, and arrange modular displays including flex modulars and shelf caps to maintain a fully stocked department.
• Comply with all health and safety regulations to foster a safe and clean work environment.
• Demonstrate flexibility by being available to work various shifts including evenings, weekends, and holidays to meet business needs and ensure consistent customer service.

Challenges of the Role

• Manage a high volume of tasks efficiently in a fast-paced environment, including overnight shifts, requiring good planning and maintaining focus and energy.
• Handle physical demands such as prolonged standing, bending, and lifting items weighing up to 20 lbs regularly and up to 50 lbs occasionally.
• Perform repetitive duties like stocking, zoning, and organizing with keen attention to detail to maintain store standards.

Compensation

The position’s starting hourly wage is $16.45.
