Key Responsibilities

• Maintain cleanliness, organization, and zoning of the produce department to ensure it is consistently customer-ready.
• Regularly rotate produce, eliminate expired items to uphold product freshness and quality standards.
• Ensure all produce is accurately priced and labeled, following correct procedures for ordering, discounts, and signage.
• Adhere strictly to food safety, sanitary, and cold chain protocols, performing temperature checks, using thermometers, handling food properly, and complying with sell-by and expiry dates.
• Stock and remove merchandise as necessary, apply product protection, and arrange modular displays including flex modulars and shelf caps to maintain full inventory.
• Observe health and safety policies to foster a safe, clean workplace.
• Be flexible to work various shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays, adapting to business needs to maintain smooth operations and customer service consistency.

Challenges Associated with the Role

• Effectively manage a high volume of tasks in a fast-paced environment, especially during overnight shifts, to remain focused and energized.
• Handle significant restocking and recovery responsibilities efficiently and accurately within allotted timeframes.
• Perform physical duties such as standing for long periods, bending, and lifting inventory or equipment weighing up to 20 pounds regularly and occasionally up to 50 pounds.
• Carry out repetitive tasks like stocking, zoning, and organizing products with meticulous attention to detail to meet store standards.

Compensation

The starting hourly wage for this position is $18.05.
