About the Role
The Procurement Specialist will facilitate the operational procurement activities for the ICP Program, ensuring purchase orders are executed on schedule and vendor coordination is maintained properly. Working under the guidance of the Procurement & Contract Manager and alongside Contract Specialists and program teams, this role supports smooth procurement workflows while maintaining compliance with ASAS policies and program governance.
Main Responsibilities
- Handle daily procurement operations, including placing purchase orders, liaising with vendors, and tracking deliveries to meet program requirements promptly.
- Assist in preparing and submitting necessary procurement documentation following ASAS standards.
- Communicate regularly with vendors about order status, delivery timelines, and resolving any discrepancies.
- Help monitor vendor performance and service quality under supervision.
- Maintain detailed records of supplier interactions and procurement transactions.
- Collaborate with Contract Specialists to ensure procurement activities comply with contract terms and preserve related documentation.
- Ensure all procurement actions adhere strictly to ASAS policies, relevant guidelines, and legal mandates.
- Keep procurement files updated to support audit processes, approvals, and reporting needs.
- Provide procurement progress reports and dashboards to management and coordinate with Finance & Accounting for payment processing.
- Work with program teams to clarify procurement inquiries and fulfill their purchasing needs.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, Procurement, or related disciplines.
- Two to four years of experience in procurement operations, supply chain, or project-related purchasing environments.
- Practical knowledge of purchase order handling, vendor communication, and procurement documentation procedures.
- Preferred experience in industrial, government, or large programs procurement contexts.
- Familiarity with ERP or procurement management systems is an added advantage.

- Excellent organizational and time management skills to efficiently manage procurement activities.
- High attention to detail ensuring accuracy in documentation and reporting.
- Strong communication skills in Arabic and English to effectively interact with vendors and internal stakeholders.
- Team player capable of supporting collaborative procurement and contract operations.
- Basic knowledge of procurement compliance, contract alignment, and internal approval workflows.
