- Evaluate new materials and innovations that fit HealthyBaby’s health-focused positioning.
Cost management and negotiation
- Lead negotiations with suppliers to secure competitive pricing without compromising quality.
- Develop a strong view of cost drivers such as materials, labor, logistics, and scale, and use that knowledge to find savings opportunities.
- Partner with Finance and Operations to manage cost of goods and protect margin goals.
- Create cost models and should-cost analyses when needed.
Product development and commercialization support
- Collaborate closely with the Product Development and Commercialization team on new product launches.
- Make sure sourcing plans match timelines, specifications, and quality requirements.
- Spot and reduce sourcing risks early in the development process.

- Work with the Commercialization team to resolve supplier performance problems.
- Support audits, certifications, and ongoing supplier reviews.
Cross-functional collaboration
- Work closely with Operations on manufacturing, planning, and logistics.
- Partner with Product Development and Commercialization on materials, formulations, and specifications.
- Coordinate with Marketing on claims, material integrity, and storytelling.
- Support Finance with budgeting and cost management.
- Act as the link between upstream supply decisions and downstream product strategy.
Systems, data, and continuous improvement
- Keep procurement data, supplier records, and pricing information accurate and up to date.
- Support the rollout of procurement tools, systems, and reporting as the business expands.
- Use data, and where useful AI-enabled tools, to improve sourcing decisions, cost visibility, and supplier performance tracking.
