Company Overview
Sanmina Fermoy, Ireland operates an FDA-registered facility certified to ISO13485:2016, specialized in producing high-quality PCBAs, subassemblies, and complete Class III medical devices. With 30 years of exemplary operational performance, the site employs experienced professionals working across engineering, quality, and manufacturing functions.
Position Objectives
- Ensure achievement of planned production targets for a fully automated Class III medical device manufacturing process.
- Maintain optimal machine performance and maximize uptime.
- Provide process support, diagnosing product defects, resolving equipment faults, and performing adjustments and setups.
- Act as a practical problem solver to tackle machine failures and enhance process efficiency.
- Contribute to Safety, Quality, Compliance, and Continuous Improvement goals.
- Identify critical errors promptly and escalate them to senior personnel or Engineering as necessary.
- Participate in project activities focused on process enhancements such as cycle-time and yield improvements.
- Support the engineering team in commissioning and validating new high-volume production equipment.
Responsibilities
- Manage day-to-day operations ensuring production output meets standards for Class III medical devices within a fully automated environment.
- Be accountable for machine uptime and performance metrics.
- Drive adherence to Safety, Quality, and Compliance standards, including industry regulations.
- Troubleshoot process and product issues, identify equipment malfunctions, and undertake necessary corrections or setups.
- Safeguard compliance with Health & Safety legislation and workplace regulations.

Qualifications and Experience
- A minimum Level 6 qualification in electrical, mechanical, fitter, or a related trade discipline is required.
- Preferably possesses at least one year of experience in automation control, tool-making, maintenance, electrical, mechanical, or fitter roles.

- This position involves shift work consisting of 12-hour shifts covering days and nights, including weekends.
