The Arcadis DPS Group in Dublin specializes in Project Management, Multi-Discipline Design, and Construction Management for Pharmaceutical and Life Science buildings.

We are seeking a Process Engineer to join our Dublin team, reporting to the Process Department Manager. This role offers a significant opportunity to contribute to impactful projects within a collaborative and innovative environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Produce and finalize process engineering deliverables such as Process Flow Diagrams (PFDs), Piping and Instrumentation Diagrams (P&IDs), process reports, calculations, utility sizing, and equipment specifications, ensuring technical accuracy and adherence to safety standards within agreed timelines and budgets.
  • Collaborate with Senior and Lead Process Engineers to accomplish project tasks, abiding by their technical guidance and maintaining quality expectations.
  • Contribute insights on changes affecting project scope, schedule, or budget; highlight potential impacts to senior process team members and assist in documenting details to support successful project delivery.
  • Provide mentorship and support to junior and graduate engineers to assist in completing their deliverables, promoting teamwork and knowledge exchange.
  • Work closely with multidisciplinary teams, equipment suppliers, and internal stakeholders to facilitate seamless project integration and delivery.
  • Ensure compliance with all relevant local, international, and client-specific codes and standards.
  • Participate actively in Process Hazard Analyses (PHAs), Hazard and Operability Studies (HAZOPs), design reviews, and project meetings, focusing on safety and quality assurance.
  • Identify opportunities to enhance efficiency and technical processes, sharing best practices within the team.

Qualifications and Experience

  • Possess a relevant higher technical degree in Industrial, Process, or Chemical Engineering.
  • Have a minimum of four years post-graduate experience as a process engineer within design consultancy or pharmaceutical/food/GMP manufacturing sectors, with proven design project execution involvement.
  • Demonstrated proficiency in process design, engineering calculations, and preparation of technical documentation for projects.
  • Capable of effective teamwork in multidisciplinary settings, following directions while contributing constructively towards team objectives.
  • Experience mentoring junior staff is advantageous.
  • Excellent communication skills in English, both written and verbal.
  • Proficient in MS Office suite and relevant process engineering software, with strong organizational and time management abilities.

Preferred Experience

  • Exposure to clean utilities design and project implementation.
  • Proven track record supporting independent delivery of process deliverables on schedule and within budget.
