About the Role
Join a prominent mid-market private equity fund in Dublin as an Investment Associate, contributing to a dynamic investment team engaged in high-caliber transactions across multiple industries. This role offers comprehensive involvement in the investment process, from sourcing and executing deals to managing portfolios and planning exits.
Key Duties
- Identify and assess potential investments for suitability.
- Develop complex financial models including leveraged buyouts (LBO), discounted cash flows (DCF), and comparable company analyses.
- Support all phases of due diligence, deal execution, and structuring activities.
- Create investment memoranda, financial reports, and recommendations for presentation to the Investment Committee.
- Conduct thorough market, sector, and competitive intelligence research to inform investment strategies.
- Track and evaluate portfolio company operational and financial metrics.
- Collaborate with portfolio management teams to drive strategic projects and enhance value creation.
- Contribute to regular portfolio evaluations, refinancing initiatives, and exit preparations.
Candidate Profile
- Possess between three to five years of relevant experience in private equity, investment banking, leveraged lending, corporate finance, or transaction advisory roles.
- Demonstrate advanced skills in financial modeling, valuation techniques, and data analysis.
- Exhibit strong commercial acumen coupled with exceptional attention to detail.
- Hold excellent academic qualifications.
- Preferred qualifications include ACA, CFA, or an equivalent professional certification.
- Possess strong interpersonal and communication abilities, with confidence engaging senior-level stakeholders.
