Prison Support - HMP Bullingdon

Role Overview

Serve as an Operational Support Grade at HMP Bullingdon, contributing to the smooth and secure daily operation of a bustling prison environment. This role blends administrative tasks with more physical duties such as lifting and escorting vehicles, providing a varied and active workday.

Key Responsibilities

• Maintain security measures including gate searches and monitoring CCTV cameras and telephone communications.
• Manage deliveries and supervise visitor access to the prison.
• Perform physical duties such as escorting vehicles around the prison premises.
• Work diverse shifts including night and weekends to ensure continuous operational support.

Candidate Profile

No formal qualifications required; ideal for individuals who communicate effectively and remain calm under pressure. Strong teamwork, sound judgment, and practicality are essential.

Requirements

• Hold a full, valid UK driving licence including the D1 vehicle category, enabling driving of vehicles with up to 16 passenger seats, lengths up to 8 meters, and trailers up to 750kg.
• Responsible for punctuality given fixed shift times and limited public transport options near some prison locations.
