Pricing Analyst

About the Role

DSV, a global leader in transport and logistics, seeks a Pricing Analyst to join their Milton, Ontario office. The role supports the Pricing Desk Department under managerial guidance, acting as an interface between customers, transportation vendors, and internal teams to manage pricing effectively. Key Responsibilities

• Determine appropriate pricing for DSV products and services including spot requests by adhering to department guidelines, conducting profitability assessments, and recommending optimal pricing strategies including tariff application.
• Analyze various transport modes (Air & Sea) to suggest suitable price points using both internal and external data alongside customer requirements.
• Act as the primary liaison for pricing inquiries between Sales, Clients, and Operations.
• Evaluate shipment volumes and revenue to assess and enhance pricing effectiveness and profitability of accounts.
• Monitor industry trends and competitor pricing strategies to inform tactical and strategic pricing decisions.
• Negotiate advantageous pricing with transportation vendors for shipments or lanes when necessary.
• Create and maintain client pricing data within CargoWise One platform.
• Collaborate with operations to resolve Autorating issues in CargoWise One as needed.
• Offer support, guidance, and training to less-experienced pricing team members when appropriate.

• Support organizational commitments to ISO 9001 and ISO 45001 certifications at the Montreal location.
• Follow all protocols to meet quality, health, safety, and environmental targets as outlined in DSV policies.
• Engage in sustainable practices to minimize environmental impact and uphold safety standards in daily activities.

Qualifications

• Post-secondary education in Supply Chain Management, International Trade, or related disciplines.
• At least three years of experience in the international transportation industry.
• Industry certifications such as CIFFA or APICS considered advantageous.

Technical and Language Requirements

• Experience with CargoWise One is an asset.

Physical and Work Conditions

• Work involves extended periods of sitting or standing while using a computer.
• Standard office hours with occasional extended hours as business needs dictate.
