About the Company

Goldenlay Agri Limited is Zambia’s largest table egg producer, supplier, and distributor, providing a well-known brand to both retailers and consumers throughout the country. The company is seeking applications for the position of Poultry Attendant.

Job Responsibilities

Provide consistent access to food and water for poultry.
Maintain optimal standards of bird health and welfare.
Ensure cleanliness of poultry houses is upheld at all times.
Assist with secure and careful egg collection.
Accurately keep records of poultry mortality.
Oversee that all equipment and machinery are functioning properly and report any issues immediately.
Follow biosecurity and quarantine protocols; wear provided personal protective equipment and shower prior to beginning duties.
Monitor feed stock and ensure no chicken house is left without feed—treat shortages as emergencies.
Participate in additional tasks related to poultry management, including helping to catch birds for sale when required.

Qualifications & Experience

Completion of Grade 12 education.
Certificate in General Agriculture or similar field.
Computer literacy and proficiency in MS Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
At least three years of experience working in poultry farming.
Preferably aged between 25 and 35 years old; must demonstrate maturity and responsibility.
