Job description

Overview

Porters are integral to the Facilities department, providing continuous 24/7 support across all wards and departments at Lincoln County Hospital. This role involves a diverse range of duties including patient and material transportation throughout the hospital premises.

Key Responsibilities

  • Effectively communicate with staff and patients.
  • Demonstrate flexibility and adaptability in managing workload priorities.
  • Deliver excellent customer service with a friendly and approachable demeanor.
  • Be reliable with strong time management skills.
  • Perform duties within a physical work environment.
  • Work independently and collaboratively as part of a team.
  • Maintain awareness of Infection Prevention and Control standards relevant to healthcare settings.
  • Commit to providing a high-quality service.
  • Previous experience in portering is advantageous but full training will be provided.
  • Use provided uniform and personal protective equipment appropriately.
