About the Role

Gerber Collision & Glass in Bristol, VA, is seeking a Porter to support quality vehicle repairs by performing thorough cleaning of customer cars before delivery and maintaining cleanliness throughout the shop and office areas. Key Responsibilities

• Consistently implement and uphold the WOW (Wow Operating Way) standards.
• Carry out daily cleaning tasks within the office such as emptying trash cans, mopping floors, and dusting surfaces.
• Maintain order and cleanliness in the production area by removing waste, sweeping floors, disposing of unneeded vehicle parts, and organizing tools and equipment properly.
• Keep parking lots and exterior grounds tidy; including shoveling sidewalks as necessary.
• Pre-wash vehicles before repair work commences.
• Thoroughly clean both interior and exterior of customer vehicles after repairs are completed.
• Transport customer vehicles to authorized external repair facilities when required.

Qualifications and Requirements

• High school diploma or GED is preferred.
• Previous experience in automotive environments is advantageous.
• Must have clear near vision and be able to multitask effectively.
• Minimum age requirement is 18 years.
• Possession of a valid driver's license is mandatory.
• Strong attention to detail is essential.

Physical Requirements and Other Conditions

• Ability to pull, push, carry and lift up to 50 pounds repeatedly.

Compensation

The hourly wage ranges from $18.00 to $20.00, dependent on experience level.
