Primary Responsibilities
- Operate Shot Peen Machine and various polishing tools to remove color from equipment parts.
- Independently identify and correct basic defects in parts to meet quality standards.
- Recognize different materials and manage scrap disposal in accordance with Quality Assurance standards.
- Use JDE programming functions, including sending and tracking Kanban cards, to support production workflow.
- Follow and maintain technical References such as Drawings, Setup Sheets, and Operating Instructions.
- Consistently apply safety procedures and maintain a clean work area.
- Complete assigned tasks efficiently and with high quality within expected timeframes.
- Exemplify Team Member Expected Behaviors and corporate core values in daily work.
- Perform additional duties as required.
Candidate Requirements
- High School diploma, GED, or equivalent experience required.
- Must be at least 18 years old.
- Between 1 to 3 years of polishing experience preferred.
- Ability to handle lifting or moving weights up to 60 pounds regularly.
- Capable of standing for over 8 consecutive hours daily.
- Sharp vision to identify intricate part details.
- Manual dexterity for handling air tools and grinding wheels continuously.
- Familiarity with various hand and air tools as well as polishing machinery.
- Ability to read and interpret detailed technical documents and drawings.
- Strong communication, interpersonal, and teamwork skills.
- Problem-solving and troubleshooting aptitude.
- Basic mathematical skills including addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division.
- Knowledge of manufacturing processes such as Kanban, JDE, BOM viewer, and method sheets.
- Proficiency in reading, writing, and understanding short instructions and correspondence.
- Basic computer skills are advantageous.
- Must pass pre-employment drug screening, background check, and motor vehicle screening if applicable.
