Plant Sanitation Worker

Job Overview

We seek a motivated individual with focus and energy to perform essential cleaning tasks within our plant. This role entails standing and working steadily for 8-10 hours daily, primarily in a custodial capacity. While this position starts with sanitation duties, there are prospects for progression into other departments and further growth within the company.

Responsibilities

• Push, pull, carry, or lift items weighing over 50 pounds as needed.
• Stand and walk on concrete surfaces for extended periods of 8 to 10 hours daily.
• Maintain cleanliness of walls and restroom facilities, including sinks, toilets, and urinals.
• Vacuum office rugs, sweep floors, and collect trash in office spaces.
• Sweep and mop the breakroom area.
• Remove glass shards from floors and dispose of them safely and correctly.
• Clean all glass windows, doors, and the front walkway when required.
• Complete all assigned tasks satisfactorily and adhere to safety protocols.
• Wear necessary personal protective equipment such as safety sleeves, gloves, steel-toe shoes, and safety glasses based on task requirements.
• Communicate effectively with team members exhibiting a positive attitude.
• Perform any additional duties as delegated by management.

Requirements

• Education: High school diploma or equivalent is mandatory.
• Prior experience operating forklifts or pallet jacks is preferred.
• Possess a valid driver's license and reliable transportation to commute.
• Ability to read, write, and comprehend English adequately to perform job tasks.
• Must consistently demonstrate punctuality.
