Planners / Schedulers

About the Role

Wood Australia is actively seeking experienced Planners / Schedulers to contribute to projects in the Surat Basin region of western Queensland. Key Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain schedules for maintenance, construction, and overhaul activities aligned with the Work Breakdown Structure (WBS) and CTR Catalogue using Primavera P6, meeting client expectations.
• Organize and plan Wood and subcontractor work activities to ensure timely availability of information, materials, tools, and equipment, minimizing workforce disruption.
• Prepare and distribute plans, schedules, and progress and performance reports in line with reporting requirements.
• Ensure the execution team understands and commits to achieving plans.
• Monitor and manage planning activities throughout the turnaround lifecycle phases.
• Collaborate with procurement, execution teams, and other stakeholders to maintain awareness of turnaround impacts on schedules and budgets.
• Coordinate development and issuance of change orders and variations related to scope changes following change notifications.
• Facilitate internal progress and performance meetings and participate in client and site meetings presenting schedule and performance updates.
• Report accurately on site progress including capturing direct and non-productive man hours.
• Provide feedback on contractual and team performance to the Contract Manager.

Qualifications and Experience

• Demonstrated minimum of five years’ experience as a Planner / Scheduler.
• Preferably experienced in brownfields maintenance and projects within Oil & Gas, Petrochemical, or Chemical industries.
• Proficient in Primavera P6 and Microsoft Office Suite.
• Must have full legal work rights in Australia.
