About the Role

The Placement Associate will be instrumental in reinforcing the career development framework within the ITI ecosystem, by collaborating with placement officers, institute management, industry partners, and youth. The role focuses on enhancing placement success, boosting employability readiness, advancing industry partnerships, institutionalizing placement processes, and managing data and engagement activities at institute levels.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide placement assistance to Industrial Training Institutes, NSTIs, and Vocational Training Institutes.
  • Develop and maintain a comprehensive employer database through networking with companies and industry bodies.
  • Compile placement and workshop reports accurately and promptly.
  • Ensure timely submission of reports for review and update databases with relevant information consistently.
  • Support program partners in organizing and monitoring industry engagement activities effectively.
  • Help program partners enhance their capacity to plan and execute placement-related tasks at their institutes.
  • Lead and implement regional placement strategies and plans.
  • Create annual plans and calendars for placement activities in coordination with regional teams.
  • Organize employer engagement events such as talks, walk-ins, and campus drives.
  • Own placement targets within the region according to project requirements.
  • Coordinate engagement with Industry Connect Fellows through regular communication and meetings.
  • Establish strong working relationships with company representatives, industry organizations, and placement officers.
  • Plan and conduct employer engagement events including placement fairs.
  • Explore apprenticeship, internship, on-the-job training, and career connect opportunities with current and potential employers on an ongoing basis.
  • Assist state teams in organizing job readiness boot camps and co-facilitating placement sessions.
  • Generate and distribute reports as required by the program.
  • Travel across locations as necessary for work requirements.
  • Coordinate and facilitate capacity building initiatives for placement officers at ITIs and VTIs.
  • Plan and conduct training sessions for placement officers.
  • Provide orientations on placement systems and best practices.
  • Demonstrate industry engagement activities effectively to stakeholders.

Qualifications and Skills

  • Graduate degree in Social Work, Management, Human Resources, or related disciplines.
  • 1-2 years' experience in placement coordination, recruitment, youth skilling, or working within ITI/vocational training ecosystems.
  • Experience collaborating with government bodies, skill development programs, or NGOs is preferred.
  • Willingness to travel extensively across multiple districts and regions.
  • Familiarity with placement processes and industry engagement.
  • Strong skills in coordination and relationship management with educational institutions and partners.
  • Experience in delivering employability skills or soft skills training.
  • Comfortable using data collection, reporting tools, and proficient with MS Office applications, particularly Excel and PowerPoint.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication abilities.
  • Capability to collaborate effectively with diverse stakeholders across different institutes and geographic areas.
  • Self-driven, well-organized, and focused on achieving results.
  • A strong passion for youth empowerment and the skills development ecosystem.

Compensation and Benefits

  • Starting salary of ₹32,000 per month (CTC), with the actual pay aligned to the candidate's experience and expertise.
