Physical Education Teacher

Position Overview

We are seeking a dedicated Physical Education (PE) Teacher to join our academic staff for a permanent full-time role based in Doha, Qatar. The successful candidate will report to the Assistant Head of Primary and the PE Coordinator and be responsible for teaching students across both Primary and Secondary levels.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and deliver engaging PE lessons tailored to the developmental stages and abilities of students from diverse backgrounds.
• Encourage physical, social, and emotional growth through well-planned activities promoting teamwork, resilience, problem-solving, and fair play.
• Maintain a safe and supportive learning environment that motivates student participation and fosters confidence.
• Utilize digital tools such as fitness trackers and video analysis appropriately to enhance learning experiences.
• Plan collaboratively within the PE department to maintain a coherent and internationally aligned curriculum.
• Monitor and assess student progress using formative and summative methods, adapting instruction to accommodate varying learning needs including SEN and EAL students.
• Lead and support school sports teams, organize sports competitions and events, and promote extracurricular involvement in sporting activities.
• Ensure all lessons and activities uphold health and safety standards with regular equipment checks and inclusive practices.
• Participate actively in professional development, team meetings, and whole-school initiatives, supporting positive school culture and ethos.
• Maintain effective communication with parents and the community regarding student progress and sporting opportunities.
• Uphold safeguarding policies, maintain professional conduct, and ensure all students' safety during all school activities.

Qualifications and Experience

• Bachelor's Degree in Physical Education or a related discipline.
• Valid teaching certification recognized by the Qatar Ministry of Education and Higher Education.
• Child Protection and Safeguarding training or willingness to complete after hiring.
• A minimum of three years teaching experience in relevant PE roles, with experience across both Primary and Secondary phases preferred.
• Previous experience in international or multicultural school environments is advantageous.
