Job description
Role Overview
As a Pharmacy Dispenser within our store's healthcare team, you will play a vital role supporting the pharmacist and other healthcare professionals to deliver pharmacy and healthcare services effectively and safely. This in-store position focuses on building strong patient relationships, accurately dispensing prescriptions, and advising on medicines, helping patients make informed health decisions.
Main Duties
- Dispense prescriptions safely including medicine ordering, labelling, endorsing, and collection.
- Collaborate with healthcare team members to manage and deliver pharmacy services.
- Provide medicine-related care and advice, escalating queries to the pharmacist as needed.
- Adhere strictly to Standard Operating Procedures to ensure legal and safe dispensing.
- Stay updated on new store innovations and follow operational protocols.
- Assist patients in managing prescriptions and medicines to enhance adherence and minimize waste.
Embracing new in-store technologies, you will contribute to advancing dispensing processes, increasing patient safety, and allowing more patient-centered time.
Qualifications and Requirements
- Must have completed Pharmacy Advisor NVQ Level 2 (or equivalent) or be progressing through the first year of an MPharm degree.
- Valid UK right to work required; sponsorship for Skilled Worker Visa not available.
- Previous experience in community pharmacy is advantageous.
